HISTORY OF HOUSE/ABOUT US
La Chauvarie was a bustling farm for centuries. Walnuts, asparagus and wine were the specialities. It was unloved and for sale when we found it in 2004. Two Brits whose children had flown the nest, we were looking for a new life in the sun. La Chauvarie has given that to us. A new pool, complete restoration and lots of labour have turned the ugly duckling into a much loved family home that is now available for families and groups looking for that special holiday. The farmhouse lives again as a superbly comfortable base for whatever kind of holiday you want. If your interest is cycling, fishing, canoeing, walking, running, photography, painting, cooking, barbecuing, yoga, history, relaxing by the pool or just being happy for a few short weeks with family and friends, La Chauvarie is the place for you. All facilities are exclusively for the use of our Farmhouse guests.

Plenty of space for at least 3 vehicles.
Bedrooms/Bathrooms
1 Master with en suite shower room, 2 double rooms and 4 single beds with a large family bathroom and 2 WC's.
Swimming Pool
At 12m x 5m our pool is made for family fun or just lounging about in the sun.
Close to Town
Less than 5 minutes to local shops and only 10 to the supermarket with everything you could need. Start the day on one of the cycles here for your use and spin down quiet country lanes for ten minutes, collect fresh baked bread and croissant from la boulangerie, stop for a coffee or cognac then cycle back for a dip in the pool to start the day the French way.
Rural Location
Surrounded by the peace and quiet of walnut groves with views to the distant hills yet offering very fast broadband, English TV and every modern facility.
